Chapter VI.

My heart started to thump as I heard the sound of teens yelling and laughing.

"Bye Bye sweetie. Have a nice day at school," my mom said, almost as if it was forced.

"Yah yah what evs," I mumbled to myself.

I mean she can't expect me to be all cheerful and excited about moving and going to a new school full of people I knew nothing about. It is sooooooooooo unrealistic! So, I took a big breath and stepped out of the door. Just then I heard the sound of wheels, once again, crunching on the gravel driveway. I knew that mom had already driven off. So here I am, all alone, with no friends, and once again... ALL ALONE!!!!!!

Chapter V.

"Mom I don't want to go to school! I don't even know anyone there. I have NO friends," I emphasized the NO.

"Karen how many times do I have to tell you that your gonna make new friends," said my mom, who was probably exasperated. "Just think about your brother, Joel, he is so excited for school. All you have to do is say "Hi, I'm Karen. What's your name?"

"Yah mom. like I'm really gonna go up to all the goodie goodies and act like a retard!" I replied.

"Honey having nice manners doesn't make you a retard," mom exclaimed.

"Well obviously here it does," I said, quite frankly.

My mom just rolled her eyes and kept driving. I sighed and just rested, I didn't want anymore stress than I already have.
