Chapter IV.

As I stepped into the house, I saw wood floors, marble counter tops, and a large flight of stairs to my left. As I climbed the stairs, many thoughts were racing through my mind. Like "Why did we move here? It is a nice house though. I wonder what Lilly is doing right now? ..." The list went on and on. When I got to the top of the stairs, I saw a door right across from me. I opened it and I saw white walls splashed with sun light. I decided this would be my room. I set my backpack down and looked out my window. I shielded my eyes from the glare of the sun while looking over the lawn and the beach.

"Sooo . . . How do you like it?" asked my mom, I noticed her voice was overly enthusiastic.

"It's pretty nice.” I said in a dull, lifeless voice.

"Well I'm glad it's Ok. Your dad will come up with your stuff in a minute. Ok?" my mom asked, probably expecting some overly enthusiastic voice to match hers.

"What evs." I said. Not really wanting to talk right now.

I guess mom sensed that and she left. So once again I was in my room. I took one last glance before dad walked in.

"Hey honey. What do you think? Did I pick the right house or did I pick the right house?" he joked, that cheered me up a little. I am always grateful for dad's humor!

"It's not that bad, I guess, The room is pretty nice and so is the view." I replied honestly.

"Well I'm glad your excellency is pleased," he said, smiling the whole time.

I giggled, I didn't want to ruin his good mood, so I gave him a hug and thanked him for moving here. Even though I still wish I was in Tennessee.

Chapter III.

"Who is she? asked Haley, in her nasally voice. "I don't remember seeing her anywhere."

"Hello you don't remember anything Hal! You're right though, she needs a serious make over and a shopping spree," stated Mandy as she pushed back her cuticles.

"Jeez all she needs is a straw hat and a banjo!" added Natasha.

They all cracked up. Everyone knew that Mandy Sanchez, Haley Larson, and Natasha Casey were the luckiest most popular girls in Florida Girls Academy (FGA). They had everything a pool, a mansion, all that you could ever dream of. They had it made.

"Common, lets go to Selias, I just have to get the new wrap dress I saw in the window!" said Mandy. She really did want the new wrap dress, but she also said that because she couldn't stand the fact that Haley and Natasha were obsessing over this "new girl." That is the one thing she couldn't stand, everyone's attention not on her!

"Kay," replied Haley and Natasha, not knowing it was breaking Mandy's train of thought.

So they started to walk. They all cast one last look at the “new girl.” That was the last they saw of her, at least that day.
